My NBA 2012-2013 Season Predictions

The finals we've all been waiting for will happen this year. The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the defending champions, the Miami Heat: Kobe Bryant vs. Lebron James. This seven game series will settle once and for all who the best team and player are currently in the NBA.
The main reason the Lakers will win is because of their ability to score. They have various players who can get the ball into the basket. They have twin towers who cannot be matched in Pau Gasol, and in recently signed Dwight Howard. They also have the most intimidating player in the league named Metta World Peace, formally Ron Artest. One of the best point guards in the game, Canadian Steve Nash can set anyone up with an easy basket. And of course, Kobe Bryant, who has the best footwork in the game, and in my opinion, is still the best player in the league.
The Heat also have new additions. Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis were signed this off season. Both excel in outside shooting. "The Big Three" all know their role within the team. Coming off a MVP season, LeBron James is nearly unstoppable when he drives to the hoop. He is very quick for someone his size. He is also one of the strongest players in the NBA.
The Raptors have a stronger team than last year's squad, but they still won't make it to the playoffs. Nonetheless, their roster shows potential, and may find a spot in next year's playoffs. The Oklahoma City Thunder are among the top contenders. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are very athletic at such a young age. The Chicago Bulls have shown that they can play without Derrick Rose, but he will be gone for almost the whole year. Despite "The Return" of Derrick Rose, the Bulls won't get far into the playoffs. Other contenders are the Memphis Grizzlies, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and San Antonio Spurs. Here are my predictions for the awards of the 2012-2013 NBA Season:

MVP: LeBron James
Finals MVP: Kobe Bryant
Rookie of the Year: Anthony Davis
6th Man of the Year: Ray Allen

I will update this post once I figure out how to create playoff brackets.
