Inflammation

My sensitive skin.
Wishing it was smooth and soft
Like a baby's bum.

This is a haiku which I wrote this morning and 'performed' in class today. I know that it's quite the cliche,  but I wrote it in reflection of the current state of my face: Inflamed.

I don't normally write haikus, but it is something in which I've always wanted to write more of.

But anyways, my face is red hot & burning again. Why?

Well, I think it originated from the excess intake of carbohydrates which I consumed yesterday for lunch; AKA Sushi, with a hella lot of rice.

Followed by playing basketball in the first time in forever, sweating may have not helped the cause.

Followed by eating the left over sushi + some baby biscuits.

Then I felt it and saw it; I began splashing a bunch of things on my face, including the aloe vera mask you see me wearing in the picture below.

That probably irritated it to the state it is at now. Now I may be exaggerating it a little bit, but it's definitely noticeable, so I tried to cover it up as much as possible by wearing a hat and my glasses. My face feels so scaly and puffy and it's so red 😷

MAR 31, 2017 UPDATE:

The pain has subsided but my face is still a little red and irritated. I'm thinking I could have been reacting to 'Differin', a topical cream I used to use for my face and suddenly started using again.

So I think I'll stick to the Cerave facial cleanser and moisturizer for now.

Just to clarify, as I age into my adult years, I think the main reason why I still have spots and blemishes is due to my heavy-carb and gain diet. I've just been eating whatever so I can build some muscle and gain some pounds. I currently am 6'0 tall and weigh 162lbs.
